Do you need SketchUp Pro at your school or are you looking for a student license?
SketchUp for Schools is ready for the first day of class! Earlier this year Trimble unveiled SketchUp for Schools in beta: a free 3D modeling browser application available to any primary and secondary school signed up with G Suite for Education. This is the first time SketchUp has ever offered an education-specific product, and we asked you, our EDU community, to tell us your thoughts.
Educator licenses are issued through official SketchUp partners. An educator license is free of charge. The user must be a current educator at an accredited educational institution to qualify, and provide a current faculty ID, course syllabus, or other similar documents.
FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES
There are different solutions for licenses in educational use at the institutes. Networked lab licenses and Institutional laptop licenses are only available to accredited educational institutions for instructional purposes and certain not-for-profit organizations. For commercial (for-profit) Institutions, please contact our resellers for prices and more information.
Networked Lab Licenses are intended for installation on computers in a networked lab situation and are a ‘floating’ network. Networked lab licenses are intended for installation on computers in a networked lab situation, and are floating network licenses. The license file is managed in the cloud. Labs will need to have a connection to the public Internet to authorize and use the license.
A Single license code is provided for use on all laptop seats purchased within an institution.
For institutional laptop licenses, a single license code is provided for use on all laptop machine seats purchased within an institution.
Each time a license is applied to a laptop, that laptop is node-locked with one license seat from the total pool of license seats.
Laptops need to be connected to the public Internet during authorization. The laptop doesn’t require connectivity to the Internet after authorization.
